Benahavís is a gastronomic gem in the mountains inland from Marbella and Puerto Banus. It’s famous for the pretty white village, stunning scenery and probably the highest density of restaurants and bars in the area, so it’s a great choice for foodies. Due to its small size and mountain location, residents do need to drive to reach schools and hospitals, but everything is within a short hop down to the coast. It’s in between two excellent hospitals – Costa del Sol hospital just outside Marbella and the private Hospital Hospitén Estepona and there are many public and private schools nearby, including the International College in San Pedro.
