There are a number of different areas within Elviria, including Elviria village. One of the reasons it’s such a popular location is its self-contained community featuring everything you need, including bars, cafes, restaurants, a post office, schools, supermarkets and banks.

Elviria offers a great range of facilities for those living permanently in the area. It’s home to one of the best-known International schools on the Costa del Sol, the English International College, as well as good local Spanish schools. Also within a short drive are St. Javier’s International School and Swan’s International School.

The modern medical facilities of the Hospital Costa del Sol are just 10 minutes drive, and they have a team of interpreters ready to help if there’s a problem. There are also two public health centres in nearby Marbella.

If you like beaches, then Elviria is one of the greatest locations, famous for its wide, sandy beaches, which are considered to be some of the best on the Costa del Sol. They stretch all the way to Marbella in the west and Cabopino in the east and are great for sunbathing, swimming or walking.

There are many places to eat and drink along the beach from the ‘cheap and cheerful’ to the downright luxurious, and we’d recommend The Beach House for a special meal right on the sand. Elviria is also the location of the famous Nikki Beach Club, a local hot spot for the rich and famous in the summer. They have a stunning restaurant, white sun-loungers and a gorgeous VIP experience during the day. At night they have live music and a real party atmosphere. This is the place to blow the budget and treat yourself! The beach club at the nearby Don Carlos Hotel is also recommended for its poolside lunches, sunbathing cabanas, and massage treatments.

Elviria is truly a golfer’s paradise, with four championship golf courses very close by - Santa Maria and Santa Clara Golf, the Marbella Golf and Country Club and Río Real. There are also three tennis clubs nearby - El Casco Tennis Club and the Hofsass Tennis College in Elviria, or Calahonda’s Club del Sol is just 10 minutes drive away.
