Long Term Rentals in Malaga

If you are looking for a genuine Spanish experience and the buzz of a city within easy reach of the ex-pat community in Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol, then Malaga is the place to be. It’s often overlooked by most tourists and foreigners, but it is a vibrant city with a rich history, beautiful architecture, great nightlife and the best amenities in the area.

Malaga is a great place for culture. It’s the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and is home to the excellent Picasso Museum, as well as a number of other art galleries, theatres and museums and holds an annual film festival. It has fantastic shopping, with the pedestrianized Calle Larios at its centre and a selection of some of the best tapas bars in the region. As it is a university town, it has a young, fun feel and some great nightlife in its pretty Old Town.

Malaga is the capital of Andalucia, so contains all the financial, medical and educational services one might need. It is also the business centre of the area. There are a number of health centres in the different areas of the city and two large and highly regarded hospitals. There are many Spanish schools and also a number of International schools for kids of all ages, even the university caters for the foreign residents!

Malaga is well connected by train, bus and car to the rest of the Costa del Sol. A fast toll-road supplements the Coast road and connects all the towns along the Mediterranean. A new high-speed train, the AVE, takes you to Madrid in just two hours and there is a route planned to link Malaga with Valencia. You can also easily travel by train to the major cities of Andalucia including Granada, Seville and Cordoba.

Malaga is investing a huge amount of funds to improve its transport links, including its airport expansion, train network improvements and its port. It is also building an underground metro system to link all areas of the city and reduce congestion. This is a great city, which is being improved all the time and the perfect place to be located if you really want to experience Spanish life.
