The summer holidays can be a long few months for both parents and the children, while the beach turns in to the new playground, the recent influx of jellyfish which surround the shores can be as disappointing as the playground bell.
If you are looking for a new form of entertainment for the children for the rest of the summer why not take a look at some of the summer school options within the area, running until the end of the month.
The British School of Marbella runs a summer school until the 24th August for children aged 18 months to 8 years old. From 9.00am until 1.00pm.
The school is divided in to two age groups which are 18 months to 3 years and 4 years to 8 years.
Each group focuses on maths, reading, writing and speaking along with structured play times, sports activities and creative sessions. There are also a number of field trips to cultural attractions along the Costa del Sol which include Fuengirola Zoo, the Aquarium and the Crocodile Park.
For sporty children, Atletico Las Chapas are running a football Summer Camp for kids aged 3 to 14 years, from Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm.
The school provides some of the best FA approved coaches, providing a fun and structured programme which is available to both boys and girls.
