This area is often known as the Costa del Golf due to its high density of golf courses in a relatively small region, a staggering 60 in total, 10 of which are judged world-class. Due to this fact, many people retire to the area, or move to work whilst enjoying their hobby and they are rarely disappointed.

However, it was revealed recently that many golfers are not taking the necessary steps to protect their skin from the sun’s rays and that as many as 38% of golf players on the Costa del Sol have precancerous skin lesions. Golfers need to be aware that the beautiful Spanish sunshine can be damaging and use high factor sun creams, hats and long sleeved garments to ensure they are protected.
